About the role

We are currently recruiting for a MRP Controller to join our Newport site which produce ‘best in class’ ready meals predominantly for M&S. This site is fast paced, dynamic and ‘no two days the same’ environment; making it a great place to work.

Reporting to the Department Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring the integrity of data entered into SAP so that the accuracy of the Materials Requirement Planning system is maintained. Key responsibilities include:

• Goods Issuing & Receipting of all necessary process orders within areas of work.
• Carrying out systematic stock takes from physical counts supplied by Stock Control and Operational personnel. 
• Escalating any discrepancies found that could adversely affect stock accuracy.
• Investigating any discrepancies found via systematic analysis and interrogation to resolution.
• Investigating all outstanding works orders and COGI errors within areas of control and ensuring that these are all closed off prior to MRP.
• Ad hoc projects to investigate materials losses or improve materials movements.

About you:

• Basic understanding of H&S, Food Hygiene, Manual Handling, Chemical Handling, GMP, HACCP and Environmental Awareness in line with 7 Basic Skills
• Literate and Numerate
• High level of accuracy in data entry
• Good understanding of SAP and materials accounting, allocation and transfer processes
• Ability to interrogate SAP to investigate issues
• Ability to identify root causes of issues to resolve
• Able to work both autonomously and under direction.
