Job Introduction

About the role

The Technical AQL support will be responsible for the following:

 

Raw Materials Expertise:

  • Samples and tests incoming raw materials
  • Uses analytical techniques to examine raw materials and reports against agreed standard
  • Co-ordinates effective raw material specification systems

 

Food Safety and Quality Management:

  • Works with the team to ensure accurate implementation and analysis of agreed standards.
  • Monitor the site specific HACCP plan and Quality Management Systems ensuring systems are maintained and retrievable
  •    Report any non-conformances to the appropriate people in a timely and effective manner
  • Monitor the site Quality KPI’s to deliver to agreed targets
  • Measures, evaluates and proposes continuous improvements on food safety and quality management systems.

  • Self Starter
  • Team Worker – supports peers and team, and undertakes technical rota as required through peak periods/holidays
  • Excellent Communication and interpersonal skills
  • Numeracy skills
  • Strong influencing skills

 

Desirable

  • Foundation Level – HACCP and Food Hygiene
  • Previous Food Manufacturing Experience
  • Previous Auditing Experience
