Job Introduction
About the role
The Technical QA Auditor will be responsible for the following:
Process Technology:
- Assist operations to identify ways to improve plant/process efficiencies and reduce wastage
- Carries out appropriate technical process training within the business as required.
- Ensures safe and appropriate quality production processes.
Food Safety and Quality Management:
- Works with the team to ensure accurate implementation and analysis of agreed standards.
- Monitor the site specific HACCP plan and Quality Management Systems ensuring systems are maintained and retrievable
- Report any non-conformances to the appropriate people in a timely and effective manner
- Monitor the site Quality KPI’s to deliver to agreed targets
- Measures, evaluates and proposes continuous improvements on food safety and quality management systems.
- Is aware of and acts on legal requirements, codes of practice etc.
Compliance:
- Help train production staff in correct completion of process sheets, product knowledge, food safety and quality training.
- Carries out activities in accordance with internally approved protocols
- Ensure that internal hygiene, housekeeping, GMP and quality system audits are carried out to schedule and to the appropriate standard
- Examines consumer complaints and advises on trends and corrective actions.
- Proposes ways of improving standards and compliance.
- Recognises and reacts to potential risk to the quality systems.
- Deals with day-to-day customer requirements for information and technical advice.
Product and Raw Materials Expertise:
- Samples and tests raw materials to determine appropriate functionality
- Uses analytical techniques to examine raw materials and finished products and reports against agreed standard
- Co-ordinates effective raw material and finished product specification systems
Data and Knowledge Management:
- Gathers, consolidates, analyses and reports data effectively using IT packages where applicable
Desirable
- Foundation Level – HACCP and Food Hygiene
- Previous Food Manufacturing Experience
- Previous Auditing Experience
